The search for the lady to play Sangeeta Bijlani's part in the Mohammed Azharuddin biopic is over.
On January 26, SpotboyE.com brought you the story that Jacqueline Fernandez has given a look test for the role. On January 30, we told you that Kriti Sanon is also in contention.
Now SpotboyE.com has it that Balaji Motion Pictures' head honcho has decided that Jacqueline is the right choice who will justify Azhar's estranged wife Bijlani's poise, elegance and beauty.
The Kick actress has given her nod of consent and even started reading up on Sangeeta's life. A source says, "Jacqueline is also going through Sangeeta's pictures and visuals to get her outfits and body language right."
Ekta has had a tough time in finalising the girl for Sangeeta's part. Kareena Kapoor was the first choice- but Mrs Khan didn't do the role for reasons best known to her. Later, Ekta had even toyed with the idea of launching a nationwide hunt and casting a new face.
The film, helmed by Blue director Tony, goes on floors in June. Emraan Hashmi plays Azhar, while Prachi Desai will essay the role of his first wife Naureen.
